Programme to be announced nearer the time.

Come and hear Folkestone Symphony perform another spectacular Prom concert in aid of MND.  In addition to the usual Proms favourites, Folkestone Symphony will be performing popular classical favourites including 'Meditation from Thais' by Massenet with Folkestone's very own solo Violinist, Floriane Peycelon; music from the movies including Star Wars, James Bond, Dr. Zhivago, Braveheart, Pearl Harbour, Titanic and others; TV music from Black Beauty.

Playing all your favourite Last Night of the Proms music, as well as popular classical works and film music from Titanic, Harry Potter, The Mission and Pirates of the Caribbean.  Our guests for the evening are Folkestone Choral Society.

For this concert, Folkestone Symphony Orchestra was joined by the FESIC Choir conducted by Helen Brooks and the Folkestone Young Strings conducted by Floriane Peycelon.

The orchestra played two movements from the Nutcracker Suite by Tchaikovsky, 'Sleigh Ride' by Leroy Anderson and music from the film 'Superman'. We also played 'An Overture on old English Carols' by John Whittaker, who came along to hear us.  The choir joined us in a rendition of The 12 Days of Christmas which was arranged by Peter Aviss, one of the orchestra's Viola players.
